Garden Whimsey Card

Another Garden Whimsey Card,
Just love working with those bright and happy colours! Summer Sun C/S was used for the base, Olive Green C/S layered on top. I punched the edge with a Fiskars punch.

Rock n Roll technique with a twist was used. I always feel that you have more control over the colour if you ink up the stamp first and then sponge the secondary colour on top, In this case the butterfly was inked up with Summer Sun Ink and the edges were sponged with a Stampin'Up! Dauber inked in Pumpkin Pie. Images were punched out using a 1 1/4" square punch layered onto a punched scallop Pumpkin Pie Square and mounted onto some Designer Print Paper. The sentiment love you using the Short & Sweet stampset was inked up in Pumpkin Pie and punched out using the Word Window Punch.

We made a set of 3 different cards just like this one and the previous one in our regular church stamping group this week. Sorry ladies we went way over time, I'll keep the Mother's Day class next week more simple.

Garden Whimsey

Another Garden Whimsey Card... Pumpkin Pie c/s is used as the base, a layer of rose red was added and matching designer paper. The tulip image was inked up in Pumpkin Pie and the edges sponged with Rose Red Ink. Old Olive was used on the stem and leaves. The edges were rounded with a corner rounder and the whisper white c/s was punched with a Martha Stewart Punch to give it a feminine edge, little Old Olive felt flowers from the Accents and Elements Kit were added with Pumpkin Pie brads to finish.

Turned out really pretty, I think

Always

This little card was so fast to make and looks so pretty and feminine. I used my cuttlebug for dry embossing on the whisper white cardstock and heat embossing on the actual image of the heart along with a little bit of bling using Kaiser rhinestones. The pink ribbon ties everything in together.  Heat embossing looks so pretty with this stamp set.

Unfrogettable

So sad to see this set retired, it was always such a hit with the children when they went to birthday parties.  I will be holding on to this cute set for a long time to come yet!

I did use my nestabilities to create the oval centre, the frog was coloured in with copic markers, and outlined with a black stampin' write marker, and I used my trusty Signo Pigment Ink Marker from Stampin' Up! once again on my scallop edges.  The little fellow's eyes were just stuck on little eyeballs, which rattle and roll around - sooo cute :0)

The little frog and the sentiment was mounted with dimensionals as you'll see below.

A Birthday Card for my special girl

Just uploading a couple of cards I have made recently, this one was for my daughter Holly's 12th Birthday - she adores butterflies and pink.  I used a Nestabilities die for the butterfly, sponged it and then detailed it with my white pigment pen.

I just adore the pearls from the Stampin' Up! Pretties Kit, they really shine and stand out so much more than other brands. Definitely  worth having for those really special cards.

Figures of Speech

Another card we made in card class a little while ago, we punched out a hole through the embossed card (Paisley Cuttlebug embossing folder).  We then punched a hole using the 1 3/8" punch into real red cardstock, lined the red paper up in our scallop punch and punched out little surrounding border for a peek hole. On the inside we merely punched a black scallop c/s base which  held our sentiment "From the Heart stamp" in place with dimensionals to give it that extra bit of height and dimension.  We punched out the stamped sentiment using a  1 1/4" circle punch.  The butterfly we decorated with our white Signo Uniball Pigment Ink pen.
the whole card took no more than 10 minutes to create... just got to love that!

Figures of Speech

I just wanted to quickly show the card open so you are able to see the black scallop punch used on the inside of the card.

Figures of Speech

Here is a little baby card I made using Cuttlebug folder for embossing, Stampin' Pastels for colouring in and the Figures of Speech Stamp Set.

Very easy to make, yet so many people in my stamping classes pick up this very card and comment on how pretty it is.

The little Figures of Speech Baby was coloured in using Stampin' Up! blender pen and Stampin Pastels.

Bloomin with Beauty

I originally made this card for my Mother in Law who absolutely adores roses, but then decided to make this same card in our church group as well.  The background was stamped using the Floral Background stamp (now retired).  The top of the whisper white cardstock was actually just cut leaving the top of the flower petals in tact, so it looks as though it's mounted with dimensionals when in actual fact it isn't.  The image was coloured in using ink pads and an Aqua Painter.

Baroque Motifs

This is a card that the ladies from my regular stamping group picked out of the Catalogue in February 2009 asking if we could make it.  I made two cards one exactly like it is shown in the catalogue and then thought there could be a way of making it without the Scrapbook Kit...  Sure enough, the next week we all got creative.  Everyone's turned out a little different but they were all beautiful.  I just love it when creativity takes over and all these beautiful designs just happen all on their own.

Season of Joy

These were my Christmas Cards last year, I think we sent out just over 70 of them.  I used the Christmas Designer Series Paper and also stamped the swirls from the stamp set onto the designer paper.  The little Christmas tree was stamped, cut out and decorated with crystal effects and microbeads then mounted with dimensionals.  A Kaiser Crystal in the middle of the JOY sentiment gave it a little bit of extra Christmas Bling.

Another Christmas variation using this set

Cuttlebug Christmas

This had to be the fasted Christmas card in history :0)  - I always love it when you can make an effortless card that looks like it took forever.  I merely used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, stamped a fast sentiment which I embossed with gold embossing powder, tied a gold ribbon around the base and added a few Kaiser pearls to give everything a bit of dimension.

Stampin' Up Wheels

I used a Stampin' Wheel called Bella's Border on this card, sorry it's a little dark the daylight was literally getting away from me as I was taking this. I enjoy using Stampin' Up! wheels - they sure make it quick and easy to make a fast card on the run, or even bookmarks!  Anyhow, I decided to combine it with Sage Shadow ink and cardstock and absolutely love the freshness of this card.
