It's school holiday time ;)

Hello everyone,
By the time you are all reading this we will be on our holiday :)  We're heading up to Port Douglas, Far North Queensland for a one week break.  Thankfully all the packing is over and we're all set to go.  Looking forward to 7 wonderful days of sunshine.  It's actually a family reunion (on Greg's side) so there is lots of excitement in the air and it's fun to see that the children are as excited about that one more sleep as though it were Christmas :) lol

I must admit I really love the atmosphere up north so will probably come back ever so relaxed. I'll certainly try, I have 3 new books in our bags.

I'll try and post whilst I am gone… if Hubby let's me near a computer lol   Hope that everyone is going to have a lovely time these school holidays! Our kids can't wipe the smiles off their faces! and that makes me soooo happy :)

My Craftroom Storage Solutions

Hello Everone :)

Today I am going to show you my craft space and how I store everything.

I am very lucky to have 2 large enclosed Cabinets in which I basically keep my stamps and cardstock as well as my dies and embossing folders…  A couple of doors at the bottom {the ones I can't get to on the far end} house all our tax records.

I have my cardstock organized into individual drawers. They are 5 drawer storage containers which you can buy at K-Mart, Offic-Works, Big W and some of the cheap dollar stores.  On top of these storage containers I keep my Copics and my Stampin' Up Markers.

Look they are all organized in the new colour groups!  Looks yummy hugh! ;) There are some empty drawers just waiting for the new colours to be introduced in September 2010.

The Shelf above houses my Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, cardstock as well as other 12 x 12 paper from various other companies.

There are 9 individual Storage Organisers, each with 5 drawers. I bought these at Office Works, I liked them in black with clear fronts, however I do know that you can get other colours depending where you purchase them. I have 3 stacked on top of one another and they're actually quite stable.

Within each drawer, laying on top my full sized sheets cardstock, I keep a plastic sleeve for my cardstock scraps.

I try to use the scraps up first before cutting into full size cardstock when I reach for a certain colour.

The other side holds my stamps..  I will have to either unmount them all onto Ezy Mount sheets and store them in CD cases or simply start to part with some of the discontinued ones which I don't use very often.  …now don't  go counting how many stamp sets I own!!  lol..

My punches I keep on Ikea Rails, I think I only paid about $3.00 for each rail.

In this bookcase I keep all my Ribbons and other odds and ends.  It could probably do with a tidy up as well sometime soon.

I know here in Australia we do not have the Stampin' Up! Ribbon Keepers so we have to look for our own ribbon storage solutions.  I have found the Cropper Hopper Wire Ribbon Racks to be the most economical. I store the smaller ribbon spools on the lower tier and the larger ones on top.

Before I get inundated with emails where I purchased them from {lol} I'm petty sure that the ribbon racks are made by Cropper Hopper, I ordered them online from Craft Candy, I think they were just over $10 each and Sharon from Craft Candy gives a $10 discount on your first order.

There are other ribbon racks as well, they're by Marie Osmond and come in black..  They're slightly wider and more expensive, I have one of these on my desk filled with my favourite ribbons, so they're right next to me.

I'll organize my ribbons soon and will post a closer photo of these for you also.

Hope you enjoyed my little tour of my Craft Room….

Punch Promotion only available until 8 June 2010

Hello my stamping friends :)  just a quick reminder that the fabulous Punch Promotion will end this coming Tuesday.  The latest that I will be able to order will be Tuesday evening, as on Wednesday there will be another "Deal of the Week" so stay tuned to see the next special.

Just a quick note about the availability of Retiring Colours

We have been notified by Stampin' Up! that some of the retiring colours are running low,  as there understandably is an increased demand for these colours, so if there are particular colours that you are partial to (and you know that they are going to be discontinued) please do not leave it to the last minute to purchase reinkers or card stock as you may miss out.

Remember that you can place your order directly through me,  postage will be the same amount to anywhere within Australia, no double handling, Stampin' Up! ships to you straight from the warehouse.  I do have a Credit Card Facility available.

FANTASTIC SPECIAL on Stampin' Up! Punches! ~ for 1 week only

Good morning my stamping friends,

Please excuse my absence as I have been quite sick since returning home from Convention, to be honest I have only been in bed and have not even gone near an inkpad!

I am letting you know about a brand new promotion which is only available this week, please read below:)  If you purchase a punch from me I will also send you some card instructions featuring the particular punch or punches you are purchasing.

Throughout the month of June, Stampin' Up! are bringing you a new deal every week! With the Deals of the Week, you'll get up to 50 percent off a selection of products from the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue!

This week's deals 30% off the following punches. Normal retail price $30.95 but until 8th June they're just $20.12

112081   Scallop Square punch
109183   Trio Flower punch
110711   Boho Blossoms punch
114889   Scallop Oval punch

I do love using the trio flower punch, it makes the daintiest little flowers that are so easy to shape and with a little pearl glued into the middle it finishes the little flowers so nicely.  I have used this punch in particular a lot lately, if you scroll down to look at some of my recent cards you will see it featured quite often.

The scallop Oval Punch, as we all know, is so versatile as you can create a scalloped edge around ovals, circles and even around a heart shape.

Do remember that I post to anywhere in Australia, there are no additional charge as your orders are dispatched from Stampin' Up! directly and I will also send you a card kit with instructions just for being a loyal customer.

If you are considering becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator please contact me, as these punches would be reduced a further 20% yet again on top of this current promotion!  I already have all of them or I would certainly be putting my order in for them.  Being a Demonstrator even just for your own personal hobby certainly does have its benefits!

This trio flower punch matches the Boho Blossoms Stamp set!

This scalloped square punch also makes great rectangular mats when you place several together behind your feature image… also a good punch for masculine cards.
