Stampin' Up! Christmas Ornament Punch

Hello My Stamping Friends :)

I guess most of us are getting into the Spirit of Christmas.  The shops are certainly in full swing with all their pretty decorations.

I would like to share some Christmas items with you which I have made out of the new yummy Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper, which is only available until the end of this month, contact me if you would like to know more about this current promotion.
I am quite happy with how this card turned out, I heat embossed the Christmas tree with white embossing powder onto Designer Series paper, it looks really classy, I love embossing onto patterned paper. The little Holly Berries are all shiny as I have coated them with Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects.

This little box in a bag was so easy to make, and the colours are so happy, I think I will fill it with some chocolates for my Mum who has been quite ill lately as an early cheer up Christmas gift :)

My christmas tags were so easy to make with the Ornament punch, I dressed some up with a little punched leaf and 3 little red stick on pearls so they look like holly or christmas bush, a native Australian plant which comes out at Christmas time.

The other ornament tags I decorated with some gold Christmas cording and red and gold ribbon.  I think they turned out quite cute. I have put some of these into my Summer Mini Catalogue mail outs, so if you're on my mailing list and have asked for regular correspondence be sure to keep an eye on your letterbox this week.
I have also included some die punch outs so you can see some of our new Stampin' Up! dies, and I went all out and made a special colour chart with samples of all the 4 colour groups in a handy little booklet, I really hope that you will enjoy them and get much use out of them!

If you are not on my mailing list but would like to be, do drop me a note and I'll send a Summer Mini Catalogue to you, You can order from the new Mini Catalogue from 1st December - 31st March 2011.  With every purchase made I always send out a little appreciation gift to all of my customers, no matter where in Australia you reside, I'm always generous so you will always be in for a treat… and of course I'm always available to answer any of your stamping and crafting questions.

So if you are looking for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and currently do not have anyone looking after you, send me a quick email as I would love to be your personal Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Stampin' Up! Contempo Christmas Cards

Hello my stamping friends,
It's been very busy lately but I am getting right on top of things now, and really thought it was about time I uploaded some Christmas Cards I made using the Contempo Christmas Stamp set. Don't forget that there is a Stampin' Up! promotion for this stamp set so you can get some free goodies!
I do enjoy using the new Designer Series Paper Jolly Holiday ($16.95) the colours team up nicely with Gold trims and decorations to give your card a little extra sparkle :)
I punched out 3 ornament shapes and adhered them together in order to create a 3D ornament, which will fold flat in an envelope for posting and pops back up when pulled out.
I am really enjoying using Cherry Cobbler cardstock and ink, I think it is a nicer red than real red for Christmas, it has such a rich colour feel to it.  Here I stamped the tree image in Old Olive and dressed it up a little with stick on pearls.
The gold cording was bought from one of the Dollar stores, they have so many Christmas Decorations out.. really makes you realize that it's only 5 weeks and 2 days until Christmas!  Oh my goodness time to get busy making all those cards if you haven't started already!
I do need to mention that Stampin' Up! is currently resolving a few quality issues with the Ornament punch and this punch will not be available for ordering until everything is rectified.
None the less, it is a beautiful punch and is so fast in putting together some easy christmas cards.  I'm certain that Stampin' Up! are doing everything to have it available again soon, as it is an obvious choice for easy Christmas Cards.
Delightful Decorations is another stampset that goes hand in hand with this punch. So if it isn't on your wishlist pop it on there, there are so many cute things that can be made with this punch ~  flowers, faces and lots of other punch-art, just to mention a few.  But easiest of all it creates instant Christmas Tags, too easy. Stay tuned for some more Christmas Cards and little boxes and bags that I have been making.

Update on Stampin' Up! Workshops, Stamping Classes and life in general ...

Hello my Stamping Friends :)

Time to update my blog again however first I would like to share with you what has been happening in our lives.  I recently returned to the workforce after being a stay at home mum for the past 4 years this is a huge achievement as the kids are now old enough (aged 8, 11 and 13) to adjust to Mummy working full time and also because jobs are extremely scarce here on the Gold Coast, so I am very fortunate and very grateful to God for this opportunity.

Most of you already know that I have a background as International Qantas Flight Attendant which I left after 20 years of service just over four years ago.  Recently I began working in the hospitality sector again doing coroporate events, weddings and private functions and as time went by we could all see that it wasn't going to be a long term solutions as I was working most nights and weekends.  With 3 young children and a husband who is on planes and various overseas destinations for the better part of each week, and a mother who is having her own health issues right now, it was quite a lot to manage on my own.

In short I sat down and applied for about 40 different office based jobs last weekend, lol.. it did take all weekend getting all those resumes sent out, however one particular company asked me to come in and told me that the receptionist job had been filled by a very young girl (as was to be expected) but they want to train me up as a Travel Agent to Travel Agents lol … I jumped for joy, kept everything crossed and just had to wait until they had interviewed everyone and lo and behold I got the job!!

They said that they were interested in me because I had travelled all over the world and knew the countries intimately from a tourist point of view.  So the job is to design the packages which are sold to travel agencies.  Those glossy brochures you see.. well I'll be designing the content, not the lay out, the travel package part.  I will be working with travel agents as they tell me what type of packages they want tailor made and I'll design the tour routes, transport, hotels, sightseeing  etc.  I commence work this coming Monday, so please leave a comment to wish me well, I am sure it will give me lots of encouragement and I always enjoy hearing from my readers.

I work only 5 minutes from home and I could even ride to work on a bicycle, that would be fabulous (!) as I could come home every lunchtime on my bike and get a little exercise in that way too :)

The good part is that I can work from 8am to 4 pm or 9am to 5pm and finally we can get our whole house into order.  Our architect has been drawing up our plans on and off for quite some time and finally all our dreams of house renovations which are only on paper at the moment will all happen in the very near future!   It includes a very big crafting studio for me where I will hold classes!!

So big changes are ahead.  Sadly I have had to stop holding my weekly classes at church, I will miss my regular stamping friends dearly and sincerely hope that you will be able to take a class or two in my home when I start.  I am already planning Friday night and Saturday classes, which will commence on a fortnightly basis.  My first class will be a Stamp A stack, 9 cards, 3 of 3 different designs, the next will be Christmas tags & Packaging and I am working on these already :)  So keep your eyes out for these. I will also be holding regular downline meetings for my team and focus  on holding Stampin' Up! workshops and teaching stamping classes.

Please do drop me a line if you are interested in my classes as numbers will be limited because I find small groups work better  - maximum  of 6   I'd love to hear from you. If you are interested in different night classes, let me know, it's all on the drawing board right now and of course I'm open to suggestions.

My class and workshop calendar (on my Stampin' Up! website - top right hand corner link on this webpage) will be updated in due course.

Sending hugs to all and wishing you a really happy weekend :) with your family!
