Hello my stamping friends,
A big hello from wet and soggy Queensland.. I want to post this update online, so that I am keeping up to date just in case the big wet comes down from the mountains down our way…. We're tipped to not be affected but then they didn't anticipate Brisbane to go under before today either…'
In the meantime I would like to extend a free shipping promotion to everyone…any order over $100 for the next 2 weeks will qualify. {promotion finishes on Sunday 23rd January} and all of my profits I will be donating to the flood victims of this huge deluge affecting so many families.
Purchase a Big shot and you will receive an additional 5% off, and free shipping as well. All profits will be going towards a good cause.
Get a FREE package of Heart Treat Cups ($6.50 AUD) when you purchase the Sweetheart Stamp Set or the Full Heart Punch—make it twice as sweet when you buy both and get two free packages of Heart Treat Cups!

I'm not sure how we'll go with the floods ourselves over the next 48 hours, I think we'll be ok, but our garage is underneath our house (way below street level and also below water level of the river out the backyard) so we have our fingers crossed that everything will be ok.
We have flooded twice before which is not good. I guess the scary part is that in the 1974 floods this whole road was totally under water, way above water level of the river/canal system and it came down from the mountains in a great big gush…
This Deluge is bigger than the one in 1974, but they have raised the Gold Coast Dam walls over the years so hopefully it will save the Gold Coast from history repeating itself…
My heart so goes out to the many people, these people have lost so much, have endured so much, a lot of children have drowned, their lives belongings have just been washed away in a river of muddy water.. so much hardship and such a struggle to even envision a future. How can anyone not sympathize with all the families moving to higher grounds as we speak.
Our family is going to volunteer tomorrow to help with the packaging of donated items which will be distributed to the many flood affected families who have lost so much, hopefully the roads will be open and that the means will be available to distribute items.. We are taking a lot of donations with us, I guess every little bit helps, and just making an effort to help counts..
On the homefront.. It is not raining very much on the Gold Coast during the day, most of the rain has been at night time.
I hope to post some pictures of some cards soon :)
